Halie Loren and her band return to their home state of Oregon after a sold out tour in Japan, and will be performing two shows there next week.
On Monday, July 29th her quintet (featuring Matt Treder/piano, Mark Schneider/bass, Brian West/drums, and William Seiji Marsh/guitar) will be playing outdoors for the Mondays at Monteith concert series at Monteith Park in Albany, OR at 7 pm. It’s a free event hosted by the City of Albany!
On Saturday, August 3rd her quartet (Matt Treder/piano, Mark Schneider/bass, Brian West/drums) heads to Portland, OR, where they will be the featured music for PDX ♥ JPN, a Japanese movie and Sake festival that serves as a celebration of Japanese culture, food and drink. The events on August 3rd at the Mission Theater raises money for Mercy Corps, and will include Halie Loren’s band performance followed by a Japanese documentary screening and sake class by Gordon Heady with food pairings. Tickets are $25, with $10 going directly to Mercy Corps’ relief efforts in Japan.
