It was a short but sweet trip to the 50th state this month, where Halie and her trio joined with local drummers for two shows at two world-class venues: the Maui Arts and Cultural Center (MACC) on Maui, and the Doris Duke Theater (at the Honolulu Museum of Art) on Oahu. Mahalo nui loa to all who attended the shows, worked at the venues, interviewed Halie on the radio (Honolulu Public Radio, Manao Radio, and KEAO / KONI / KPMW / KTOH), featured her in local press, and friends who extended so much time and many kindnesses to making the band’s journey a little smoother!
